Air Transportation

We diligently strive to ensure the safe and reliable transportation of our puppies. Our preferred choice for shipping is American Airlines Cargo. However, it is important to note that we remain open to exploring other pet-friendly airline options should the need arise.

For a more comprehensive understanding of the transportation process, we recommend visiting the American Airlines Cargo website, How to Transport Your Pets - Pets & Animals - American Airlines Cargo (aacargo.com).  which provides valuable insights into 'How to Transport Your Pets.' We acknowledge that arranging transportation can be challenging, but we wish to assure you that our experiences with international and domestic cargo shipments have yielded positive outcomes, and our dogs have thrived. When shipping puppies within the United States, we exclusively utilize pet-friendly airlines. Please be aware that airline availability may be limited due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19.  To facilitate a smooth shipping process, we require full payment for both the puppy and shipping costs to be submitted three weeks in advance of booking the flight.

What's Included in the Shipping Service:

Our shipping service is designed to provide your puppy with a safe and comfortable journey. Here's a comprehensive list of what is included:

  1. Airline-Approved Kennel: Your puppy will be securely placed in an airline-approved plastic kennel, ensuring their safety during transit.

  2. Pressurized and Temperature-Controlled Environment: The kennel will be situated in a pressurized and temperature-controlled area of the aircraft to maintain a comfortable and safe environment for your puppy.

  3. Puppy Pee Pad: We include a puppy pee pad inside the kennel crate to help keep your puppy clean and comfortable during the journey.

  4. Water Bottle: A water bottle will be securely attached to the top of the kennel, providing access to fresh water throughout the flight. The airline staff will ensure your puppy has an adequate supply of water during the journey.

  5. Puppy Food: A bag of puppy food will also be attached to the top of the kennel, ensuring that your puppy has access to nourishment during transit. The airline will provide additional food as needed.

  6. Documentation: All necessary documentation, including vet records, health certificates, vaccine histories, and any other relevant paperwork, will be carefully provided to the airline cargo personnel during the drop-off process.

Our commitment is to ensure a seamless and comfortable travel experience for your puppy, prioritizing their well-being throughout the journey.

After we have gathered all the necessary information for your puppy's flight, you will promptly receive an email containing comprehensive details along with an assigned identification number for your convenience. This identification number will facilitate the smooth retrieval of your puppy upon arrival.

In most cases, the designated location for picking up your puppy will be either a cargo facility or a ticket counter at the designated airport. To ensure a seamless and hassle-free pickup process, we kindly recommend that you contact your designated airport in advance. This proactive step will enable you to ascertain the precise location and procedure to follow for retrieving your puppy at the scheduled pickup time.

Health Certificate Before Traveling:

USDA regulations require the puppy to be at least 8 weeks old (10 weeks old to carry in the cabin) and fully weaned before traveling domestically.

Confirmation of Feeding During Cargo Travel:  Food and water will be supplied on top of the kennel if/when in-transit feeding is necessary.

Weather Requirements: For the safety of our puppies, airlines won’t fly pets during extreme weather. Airlines will transport pets/animals when the temperatures at the origin, connection, and destination are between 45°F and 85°F.  They will not transport pets/animals when the temperatures at the origin, connection, and destination are above 85°F.  A letter of acclimation letter is needed when the temperatures are 44°F or below.  They will not transport pets/animals when the temperatures at the origin, connection, and destination are below 20°F.

Please be aware that pets are not assured to be scheduled on the same flight or flight itinerary as the customer. It is important to note that during the winter months, when the puppy is departing from Minnesota, adverse weather conditions may pose challenges to securing a flight for the puppy's departure.
